All it takes is one idea, one thought by an object, a motion, a word that can become the foundation of inspiration. Our inspiration for our Colonial room was from the billowing palm trees. The soft hypnotic sway when the tropical breezes pass through their fronds. A warm sunny day, the smell of the ocean, the clink of the sail masks in the distance all mesmerized us on the creation of this room. Warm brown tones of rattan on our headboard create a wonderful backdrop. We wanted to create a tropical yet sophisticated palate. Seafaring explorations of Sir Francis Drake and Ferdinand Magellan to unique and exotic lands in search of spices and teas set the mood for our Colonial Room. Cinnamon spiced floors, nutmeg colored marble, turmeric colored walls, and the strength of our elephants holding lighted torches for your reading pleasure. The pineapple, symbolic of our hospitality, can be found in our Colonial room. Our golden pineapples hang from our overhead fan, gently pushing soft reminders of the tropical breezes enjoyed by the adventurous spirits of those explorers before. This is our Colonial period part of our Victorian House. Monday - Thursday $179 - $219 per night; Friday - Sunday $219 - $269 per night.
