Policies

Victorian House Bed & Breakfast is an exclusive St. Augustine, FL property where every guest reservation is both important and special to us.

DEPOSIT:

A 50% deposit will be collected for all room reservations or packages, with remaining balance to be paid upon arrival at check-in.  We accept all credit cards including Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express etc.

CANCELLATION / CHANGE:

At Victorian House Bed & Breakfast, we understand that situations arise that make cancellations/changes unavoidable. If your plans change after your reservation is confirmed, please contact us as soon as possible in advance of your stay. Please note that our cancellation policies are a vital part of managing a small, family owned and operated bed & breakfast. If you must cancel or change your reservation, please note the following:

  • A $50 fee will be charged for reservations canceled up to 14 days prior to your scheduled arrival. The guest will be charged 50% of the total price if they cancel or change the reservation in the 14 days before arrival. If the guest doesn’t show up they will be charged the total price of the reservation.

WHOLE HOUSE OR MULTIPLE ROOMS BOOKINGS

Thirty (30) day advance notice of cancellation is required when whole house or multiple rooms are reserved. When cancelling a multiple room reservation, a per room cancellation fee will be applied.

THIRD PARTY GIFT CARD OR CERTIFICATE:

Please note that if you choose to cancel a reservation that you paid with a Third-Party Gift Card or Certificate, the Gift Card or Certificate value will be applied towards your cancellation fee. It is not possible to refund to a Third-Party Gift Card. There are no cash or credit refunds.

HURRICANE POLICY:

We cannot be responsible for delays, interruptions, cancellations or inconveniences in your trip due to weather. However, if you have a confirmed reservation and you are due to arrive within 24 hours and an evacuation order due to a hurricane warning is in effect, you will receive a full refund or transfer any deposits to a future stay. If you have already arrived in the city and an evacuation order is placed you will receive a refund for the unused portion of your stay. Please note that in the event of a hurricane evacuation order, you must leave the city…there is no exception. St Johns County Emergency Management has developed a phone notification system to notify us of such orders. If you choose not to use your reservation due to an impending storm, but an evacuation notice is not in effect, a refund cannot be offered and our standard cancellation policy applies.

TRIP INSURANCE:

We strongly urge you to purchase travel insurance, which if purchased in advance will cover accommodation losses and travel expenses due to weather including hurricanes. You will find additional information of the coverages of the policies by clicking the link below: http://www.travelguard.com

RESERVATIONS:

A 2-night minimum stay on weekends and during Special Events may be required. Rates based on single or double occupancy. Rates and policies may be subject to change and may vary during peak periods, holidays, special requests, and events.

ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE:

Check in is between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM

CHILDREN:

Victorian House Bed & Breakfast is not suitable for children under the age 12. A child 12 years and older must be always accompanied by an adult.

PET POLICY:

While we love animals, with the exception of service animals we do not allow pets.

Service dogs are welcomed and accepted as required by law, per the American Disabilities Act*.

*Service animals are defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) as dogs that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities. Examples of such work or tasks include guiding people who are blind, alerting people who are deaf, pulling a wheelchair, alerting and protecting a person who is having a seizure, reminding a person with mental illness to take prescribed medications, or calming a person with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) during an anxiety attack. Service animals are working animals. They are not pets. Further, the task a dog has been trained to provide must be directly related to the person’s disability.

A dog whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support do not qualify as service animals under the ADA.

SMOKING INCLUDING E-CIGARRETE:

For the comfort & safety of all of our guests, Victorian House Bed & Breakfast is a nonsmoking, non-vaping (E-Cigarette) environment. A $250 surcharge will be incurred, if there is evidence of smoking, vaping or use of flame candles in the room.

PARKING:

Limited onsite parking & (2) loading/unloading spots. Our second parking lot is 2 1/2 blocks from the inn. No charge for parking based on one car per room. The owner of any vehicle parked at Victorian House Bed & Breakfast and/or The Bridge Street Lot shall assume all risk & responsibility for their vehicle & any loss or damage to any such vehicle and/or its contents, guest will hold harmless Victorian House Bed & Breakfast for the safety, care or protection of any such vehicle and/or its contents.

All images that are contained on this site are copyrighted and may not be used in any form without prior licensing.

AUTO-COLLECT:

Payment for retail items and gift certificates is collected at the time of purchase.

CREDIT CARD SECURITY:

Your credit card information is stored and processed securely.
