Policies

Victorian House Bed & Breakfast is an exclusive St. Augustine, FL property where every guest reservation is both important and special to us.

If your travel plans change and you must cancel your reservation at our B&B, please call us at least seven (7) days* prior to your arrival date to cancel your reservation; holidays, special events, and special rates require (30) days’ advance notice.

In the unlikely event that you must cancel with less than seven (7) days* notice, shorten your stay or check out early, please understand that we must ask you to take full responsibility of the cost for your entire reservation.

CANCELLATION:

Direct Bookings:

Cancellation: Special rates and packages fourteen (14) days prior to arrival incur a cancellation fee equal to the first night stay; standard rates ten (10) days prior to arrival incur a cancellation fee equal to the first night stay; seven (7) days or less, no show or early departure, charged for the full amount of your reservation. A $50 per room cancellation fee charged if cancelling outside of fourteen (14) days prior to arrival.

Third Party Bookings:

Cancellation fourteen (14) days prior to arrival will be charged equal to the first night stay.

Ten (10) days or less, no show or early departure will be charged for the full amount of the reservation.

Multiple room reservations: cancellation fees are charged per room for each individual room contained within a multiple room reservation.

HOLIDAYS & SPECIAL EVENT PERIODS and MULTIPLE-ROOM BOOKINGS

Thirty (30) day advance notice of cancellation is required during holiday and special event periods and when multiple rooms are reserved. When cancelling a multiple room reservation, a per room cancellation fee will be applied.

RATES: 

THIRD PARTY GIFT CARD OR CERTIFICATE:

Please note that if you choose to cancel a reservation that you paid with a Third-Party Gift Card or Certificate, the Gift Card or Certificate value will be applied towards your cancellation fee. It is not possible to refund to a Third-Party Gift Card. There are no cash or credit refunds. Please note that we no longer accept Bedandbreakfast.com Gift Cards.

HURRICANE POLICY:

We cannot be responsible for interruptions, delays, cancellations, or inconveniences in your trip due to the weather. However, if you have confirmed your reservation and you are due to arrive within 24 hours, and an evacuation order by the City of Saint Augustine due to a hurricane warning is in effect, you will receive a full refund or transfer any deposits to a future stay. If you have already arrived in the City of Saint Augustine and an evacuation order is placed, you will receive a refund for the unused portion of your stay. Please note that in the event the City of Saint Augustine has issued a hurricane evacuation order, you must leave the City, no exception. If you choose not to use your reservation due to an impending storm, but an evacuation notice in the City of Saint Augustine is not in effect, a refund cannot be offered and our standard cancellation policy applies.

TRIP INSURANCE:

We encourage guests to consider purchasing a form of travel insurance in the event an emergency arises impeding your travel plans. Some credit card companies and membership benefits may have a travel insurance option that covers accommodation losses and travel expenses due to weather including hurricanes, sudden illness, etc. For your convenience, we have provided names of some insurers: Travel Guard Insurance, Allianz Travel Insurance, and InsureMyTrip.

EARLY DEPARTURES AND NO-SHOWS:

Early departures and no-shows will also be charged the full amount of the reservation.

RESERVATIONS:

A $50.00 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your reservation and charged on the valid MasterCard, Visa, Discover or American Express credit card provided at time of booking. The remaining reservation balance amount will be charged at least seven days prior to your stay, fourteen days prior when the reservation is during Holiday Period, Special Events or for multiple rooms.

The advertised room rate does not include the 6.5% Florida State, 5% Tourism Tax and .5% St. John’s County Sales tax added at time of booking.

A 2-night minimum stay on weekends and a 3-night stay during some Holiday periods or Special Events may be required. Rates based on single or double occupancy. Rates and policies may be subject to change and may vary during peak periods, holidays, special requests, and events

MULTIPLE room (2 or more rooms) reservations require a deposit equal to 50% of the entire reservation or the first night on each room for multiple night stay. The remaining reservation balance amount will be charged to the credit card provided fourteen (14) days prior to your stay.

ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE:

Check in between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM

Arrangements for Late arrivals after 6:00 PM must be pre-arranged by phone.

Guests staying at the inn have 24-hour access to Innkeepers.

CHILDREN:

Victorian House Bed & Breakfast is not suitable for children under the age 12. A child 12 years and older must be always accompanied by an adult.

PET POLICY:

We are unable to accommodate pets at our bed and breakfast. If you are traveling with pets, give us a call and we will be happy to provide you with some local pet sitting facilities for your pet’s overnight stays.

SMOKING INCLUDING E-CIGARRETE:

For the comfort & safety of all of our guests, Victorian House Bed & Breakfast is a nonsmoking, non-vaping (E-Cigarette) environment. A $250 surcharge will be incurred, if there is evidence of smoking, vaping or use of flame candles in the room.

PARKING:

Limited onsite parking & (2) loading/unloading spots. Our second parking lot is 2 1/2 blocks from the inn. No charge for parking based on one car per room. The owner of any vehicle parked at Victorian House Bed & Breakfast and/or The Bridge Street Lot shall assume all risk & responsibility for their vehicle & any loss or damage to any such vehicle and/or its contents, guest will hold harmless Mojomist, LLC dba Victorian House Bed & Breakfast for the safety, care or protection of any such vehicle and/or its contents. If you are traveling with multiple vehicles, please let us know at time of booking and we will do our best to procure additional parking. There may be a nominal fee.

COVID – 19 UPDATE: STANDARDS – BEST PRACTICES AND PROCEDURES:

The health and well-being of our guests and staff is of utmost importance to us here at Victorian House Bed & Breakfast! We recognize the need to do all we can to ensure the safety and health of our guests and associates. We continue to closely monitor and follow guidelines from the Florida Department of Health and the CDC. We have taken additional steps to surpass the standards set forth for our industry in hygiene and cleanliness. To help prevent the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19), we have implemented the following: All of our employees are required to wear masks and gloves during breakfast and room service. We have added signage throughout the property to remind everyone about social distancing and the need to frequently wash hands and use sanitizer. Cleaning and Sanitizing of General Areas: We have increased the cleaning of high-touch surface areas with disinfectants, including the dining room, living room, door handles, light switches, etc. Check-In Procedure: There will be a limit of one guest/couple with one innkeeper behind the desk. Pens and room keys will be wiped down and sanitized before and after each guest or each time a staff member comes in contact with these items. Guest Rooms: In addition to the rooms being cleaned and disinfected after each guest has departed, we now have a two-hour complete room sanitizing process before any guest is allowed to re-enter. In room concierge books, brochures have been removed from each guest room. Daily housekeeping service will not be available to minimize staff entry into the rooms. Towel and amenity replacement is available upon request by 4pm daily. Should you require housekeeping, please notify us at breakfast. Food & Beverage: To maintain the health safety of our guests, we have modified our breakfast seating to maintain 6-foot social distancing. In order to accomplish this, preferred breakfast times may be selected at time of check in, based on availability.
